I am running to serve on the ICSD School Board because I believe deeply in the value of public education and the role strong schools play in shaping healthy communities. My professional and personal experiences have given me a broad perspective on education, and I hope to contribute that perspective in a way that supports students, teachers, families, and administrators across our district.

My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Education and a Doctorate in Athletic Training. Through my education and career, I have spent many years working in educational environments in a variety of roles, including both faculty and staff positions. These experiences have allowed me to see schools from multiple angles—inside the classroom, within institutional leadership structures, and through the support systems that help students succeed. This background has given me a strong appreciation for the complexity of education and the importance of thoughtful, balanced decision-making.

Equally important to me is my experience as a parent. My wife and I are the parents of four children who have attended schools in Iron County. Our family has been closely connected to the local school system for many years. Through our children’s experiences, we have seen firsthand the dedication of teachers, coaches, and school staff who work hard to support students every day.

I am not running for this position to promote a single cause or agenda. Instead, I am motivated by a genuine desire to serve. I believe school board members should listen carefully, consider different perspectives, and make decisions that are thoughtful, responsible, and focused on the long-term success of students and the community.

Serving others has always been meaningful to me, and I view this opportunity as another way to give back to a community that has given so much to my family. My goal is simply to contribute where I can, support the good work already happening in our schools, and help ensure that students in Iron County continue to receive a strong, well-rounded education.
